I received a call a few days ago regarding my rubbish removal services. The person had put in new hardwood flooring and needed the old carpet, underlay and nail strips taken away/removed/disposed of. I got to his place in New Westminster at 3:00pm. He was bringing out the last of the carpeting when I got there so I started loading whatever was already outside. I quickly loaded all the carpeting, underlay and nail strips into my truck. However, there was still quite a bit of room left in my truck so he asked me if I could take away some boxes of tiles and bundles of hardwood. I said okay and gave him a hand to bring out the rest of the stuff to my truck. We loaded the extra 5/6 heavy boxes of tiles and 10 or so bundles of hardwood and he paid me $150. I disposed of the carpets, underlay, nail strips, tiles and hardwood flooring at the Vancouver South Transfer Station and Recycling Depot located at 377 West Kent Avenue North in Vancouver. The total weight of the junk I hauled away was a little under 700lbs according to the scale at the Vancouver South Transfer Station. Overall the job went very smoothly. Awesome guy to deal with, nice and sunny weather, no line-up at the dump and no traffic jams on the road. Not much to grumble amount!
