Furniture Pick-up and Drop-off to The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Store in Vancouver

Furniture Pick-up and Drop-off to Thrift Store in VancouverI received a call this evening regarding the drop-off of some older furniture to a local thrift store in Vancouver. The furniture had to be picked up from a house near the Oakridge Centre in Vancouver. Then brought to the Salvation Army or any other used furniture thrift store like Value Village etc. The person wanted the furniture to be donated and get re-used by someone else and not be hauled off to the landfill. Since I already know most of the used furniture places that request was not a problem. In fact whenever possible I always try to recycle old furniture which reduces the waste at our local landfills and saves the customer more money. I arrived at her house around 7:00pm and as I approached her house I saw her waiting at the curbside with the furniture. We carefully loaded everything into my truck and she paid me $60. Unfortunately it had gotten too late that day and pretty much all the used furniture places were closed so I headed home and left the furniture in the back of my truck overnight. The next morning I drove down to The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Store located at 4339 Main Street in Vancouver. I pulled in to the side lane where the drop-off area was. Before unloading everything I went inside and tracked down some staff members to inspection the furniture. Everything looked good so we unloaded the truck and they brought the furniture into their store.
