I received a call today from a previous customer. He needed a small kitchen island delivered from Point Grey to his house near the Burnaby BCIT campus. The item was not fully paid for but he had taken a look at it the day before and put down a deposit as well. Initially he was going to do an EMT or email money transfer to pay off the remaining balance on the item but to make things easier I offered to cover it and he could reimburse me when I dropped off the item. Usually I don’t do this for most people but I had dealt with this person a few times in the past and he seemed like a pretty good guy. Anyways, I got to the pick-up location in Point Grey around 2:30pm. The kitchen island was on wheels so the seller brought it down the elevator and outside to my truck. I paid the women the remainder of the balance for the item and she gave me a hand to load it into my truck. After securing it with a strap so it wouldn’t move around while I drove I headed over to my customers house in Burnaby. The rush hour traffic hadn’t started yet so it only took me 30 minutes or so to get to his place. At his place I gave him a hand to bring it into his house and he reimbursed me for the amount I paid plus $50 for the delivery. The job went perfectly according to plan and there were no problems.
