This disposal/recycling job was booked about a week ago. CGI-Claims Adjusters, an insurance company had contacted me regarding the removal of some old monitors and other electronics from their Burnaby office located on 3999 Henning Drive. They had approximately 10-15 monitors, 10-12 copier machines or printers, 10-15 computer towers, 4/5 scanners and a few boxes with miscellaneous electronics like old keyboards, mice, cameras, etc. Today I got to their office at 12:00pm. Their building did not allow them to leave anything outside so they started bringing things out after I showed up. While they brought out the rest of the stuff I started loading my truck. They had lots of man power so it went very quickly. Once everything was outside they paid me $100 and I took my time to properly load my truck. It probably took me around 15-20 minutes to load everything into my truck from the time I got there. After that I took all the electronics to the Encorp Vancouver Central Return-It Depot located on 2639 Kingsway. It took me around 30 minutes to unload everything from my truck. They accepted all the items. I was able to recycle all of the monitors, printers, computers, scanners and small miscellaneous electronics from this job. Overall this job went very smoothly. Even though I had made some calls to the city earlier that week I was still unsure if they would accept all the electronics in such large quantities but everything seemed to work out great. According to the staff at the Kingsway Return-It Depot they accept electronics in any quantity from either residential or businesses as long as the items are not commercial equipment.
