I received a call regarding my delivery services. The person had purchased a reclining chair from the Richmond ScanDesigns store located on 12551 Bridgeport Road and they needed the item picked up and brought to their apartment in Downtown Vancouver. I got to the ScanDesigns store around 3:00pm and gave them the order information. When the person had purchased the recliner they had left my name with ScanDesigns so I could pick-up the recliner chair on their behalf. After the store verified my information they got the order together and loaded the recliner and ottoman into my truck. Before taking off I secured the reclining chair with some straps so it wouldn’t move around during the drive over. And also called the person one last time to let them know I was heading over and would be there in approximately 30 minutes. The drop-off location was in Downtown Vancouver on Beach Avenue near Thurlow so I took the Oak St. Bridge. The drive over took a little bit longer than I expected because of the heavy rain and hail but at least I got there in one piece. This was probably the worst hail I have ever driven though. Luckily it only lasted for 5 minutes or so. When I left Richmond it was just another partially cloudy day but by the time I reached Burrard St. in Vancouver the weather was just miserable. Anyways, I finally got to their apartment in Downtown and parked my truck in the loading zone. They came down and grabbed the recliner and paid me $40.
