The first delivery was from the HomeSense located at 493 Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver to a house near Holdom Avenue in Burnaby. She bought a love seat, a rug and 2 prints from the HomeSense store. I charged her $50 for the delivery. She was new to the city and didn’t have anyone to help her so I gave her a hand to bring the items into her house. Usually all pick-ups and drop-offs are curbside only but I didn’t feel good leaving her to drag the love seat in by herself. After that delivery I headed back to the HomeSense store in Downtown Vancouver. This time I delivered 2 of the exact same love seats from the same HomeSense store in Downtown Vancouver to the Spectrum apartments on Citadel Parade also in Downtown Vancouver. For this delivery I unloaded the love seats at the underground loading zone which I barely fit into. She handled the rest from there. I charged her my standard $40 flat fee since it was within Vancouver.

I delivered a couch from the Wildlife Thrift Store located at 1295 Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver to an apartment on Melville Street also in Downtown Vancouver. The total charge for the pick-up and drop-off of the couch was $40.

I got rid of an old washer and dryer from a house in East Vancouver. I charged them $60 for the removal and disposal of the appliances. The washer and dryer was recycled at the Vancouver Recycling Depot located at 377 West Kent Avenue North in Vancouver.
I recycled some cardboard from a residential home in East Vancouver. They had collected a lot of waste cardboard boxes from the new furniture, electronics, appliances etc. that they had purchased for their new home. Since cardboard is 100% recyclable and they had already flattened all the boxes I charged them only $50 for picking up and recycling all the cardboard.
I delivered a server rack from a storage container near Grandview Highway and Renfrew St. in Vancouver to a store in Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver. The total charge for the delivery was $80.
I delivered some office cubicle panels from the Metrotower II office in Metrotown to the Vancouver Greenpeace office located at 1726 Commercial Drive. Overall the job went pretty smoothly however it did take a little bit longer than I had expected. At the Metrotower II office there was a slight delay due to the person in charge at that office being late but after he had finally showed up everything went much faster. They brought all the panels down to the loading zone and gave me a hand to load everything into my truck. I carefully secured all the panels so they wouldn’t move around while driving and then headed over to the Greenpeace office on Commercial Drive. The traffic was suprisingly good considering we decided to do the move right in the middle of rush hour. It only took me around 20 minutes to get there. At the Greenpeace office I gave them a hand to unload my truck and they took it from there. I charged them $40 for the delivery.
I delivered some small miscellaneous IKEA items from the Richmond IKEA store located at 3200 Sweden Way in Richmond to a house in East Vancouver. The person was new to the city of Vancouver and had just arrived here a few days ago. She did not have a vehicle or any other way to get the items to her house so she called me! I charged her $40 for the delivery from the Richmond IKEA store. The IKEA store in Richmond does offer a delivery service however they take much longer to deliver the items and often charge more depending on the number of items you have. I on the other hand charge a simple $40 flat fee anywhere in Vancouver and it doesn’t matter if you have a single item or a full truck load. $40 means $40. There are no extra fees! And I can usually do deliveries from IKEA with only an hours notice too!
I delivered a washer and dryer machine from B-Line Appliance Recycling Ltd. located at 776 Kingsway in Vancouver to a house near Rupert St. and Grandview Hwy. close to the the Vancouver Film Studios. When I arrived at B-Line Appliance they were finalizing the paper work so I waited around a couple minutes. Once everything was ready the B-Line employee brought out the washer and dryer by dolly and we loaded them into my truck. Then I followed them to there house near Rupert and Grandview. And at their house they used my dolly to get the appliances inside. Overall the job took a little bit longer than I expected but there were no major problems or hiccups. I charged them $40 for the delivery.
During the last end of the month I did a small move within Kitsilano. It was a very short distance move from Arbutus and 4th to Kits. Point. During the end of the month I am very busy with a lot of small moves so it is important that I stay on schedule and not fall behind. This job went very smoothly. They had everything ready at the curbside when I arrived so it only took us less than 5 minutes to load up the truck and head over to the destination. At the destination everything went fast as well. We quickly unloaded the truck to the back lane and they paid me $40. This way I could head to my next job right away and they could relaxingly bring all their stuff into their apartment on their own.
I did a late evening, emergency Vespa transport from No. 5 Rd. and Steveston in Richmond to the Urban Wasp Vancouver repair shop located at 1535 West 4th Avenue in Vancouver near Granville Island. He was riding his Vespa home from work when it suddenly stopped working. It happened on the 99 Highway close to the Steveston exit so he walked it off the highway to a nearby farmers market parking lot where he abandoned it for a couple hours. We meet at the parking lot around 7:30pm. By the time I got there it was pretty dark. Loading the Vespa into my truck wasn’t too bad. Weight wise it wasn’t really a problem with 2 of us there. After loading it into my truck I secured the Vespa with lots of straps and off we went. I followed him to the Urban Wasp shop. At the Urban Wasp we carefully unloaded the Vespa and he paid me $70.
